Alex Emmons' had 2 images selected from the House & Garden cyanotype series to be on display as part of the SPE NW Society of Photographic Education - 2011 Juried Members Exhibition at Spokane Falls Community College's Kress Gallery.

Emmons had BB Gun from from the House & Garden cyanotype series displayed as part of the SPE SW Educators exhibition at Santa Fe Community College during the conference in Santa Fe, NM. (Yes, both venues have the SFCC acronym - what are the odds?)

Alex Emmons moves to Santa Fe to begin work at Santa Fe University of Art & Design.

Alex was invited to exhibit and select 3 current CWU student to contribute artwork to the Pingyao International Photography Festival 2011; this invitation will include Jay Neely, Matthew Pfeifer, and Nathan Thomas who will be exhibiting photographs as well.

Constructing the Creative Castle - CWU Faculty-Led Abroad Program: CWU Professors Katharine Whitcomb and Alex Emmons took 8 students to the south of France and Barcelona to explore the history of the Cathar's Resistance and learn about both creative writing and photography.
